StellaLou Farm organizers of the Better Together event are excited to collaborate with new and familiar faces to facilitate the activities of the event.
"Facilitate"
We have carefully chosen the title of facilitator because it better encompasses the actions and characteristics we are looking for over other terms such as "leader", "coordinator", or "teacher". We are looking for individuals that can meet each participant where they are in terms of skill and comfort in the given activity. This may include teaching, collaborating with, instructing, or just acknowledging participants and then leaving them to work independently. Each facilitator is not only knowledgeable in the activity they are helping to organize, but also confident in their abilities to include participants in the way that is individually appropriate (not necessarily making participants perform a certain way or towards a narrow goal). The ultimate purpose of this event is to bring people together, make them feel welcome, and offer creative collaborative opportunities.
Volunteer Commitment
Volunteer facilitators must be able to commit to being present the day of the event. In addition, we ask that each facilitator visit the property for a planning meeting (accompanied by fun and honey!) at least once ahead of time, at the convenience of the volunteer.

-2 storytelling facilitators
-2 dancing facilitators
-1 to 2 painting facilitators
