Alyssum Carpet of Snow (Lobularia maritima)
Sow in average soil in full sun to part shade after danger of heavy frost. Sow seeds 6" apart and barely press in; light aids germination. Firm lightly and keep evenly moist. Seedlings emerge in 8-10 days. Blooms in summer to fall.
When flowering has finished and seed heads begin turning brown, cut entire top of plant off in a bucket or paper bag. Shake vigorously to release seeds.
Dainty, pure white flowers cover dwarf, spreading plants. Ground cover.
