Farmhouse Brewing with Succession Fermentory

Farmhouse brewing has a long and multi-faceted history that dovetails with the history of human agriculture. It is a brewing practice that is rooted in the landscape and the seasons; farmhouse beer is a reflection of what is locally available and the culture of the people who produce it. In this workshop, join the head brewer of SUCCESSION Fermentory, the farmhouse brewery located at Stella Lou Farm, as we brew a rendition of Sahti, a Finnish style of farmhouse ale that incorporates locally foraged Juniper and spicebush berry. The workshop will also include a short presentation and discussion on traditional farmhouse style ales brewed around the world.

Participants will engage in a brewing demonstration and take home a bottle of Sahti beer.
