The Coop at StellaLou Farm is an agricultural education center, fiscally sponsored by, School of Living, a non-profit dedicated to spreading knowledge that promotes sustainable communities, social justice, and practical self reliance skills.

The Coop is located on StellaLou Farm, a land trust in the School of Living network, that is home to a multigenerational family. In the span of four generations we have learned skills including permaculture design, gardening, food preparation, sewing, painting, drawing, sculpting, woodworking, writing, plumbing, basic construction, electrical work, winemaking, and playing in the mud. We hope to share these skills and learn the skills held by members of our local community in Chester County, PA.

The Coop empowers our community’s makers and future makers to produce and share food, experiences, beauty, and life’s necessities. We add resilience to our community, land, bodies, hearts, and minds through pursuing a simple goal:

to make something everyday.

The Coop offers three kinds of educational programs that address creating resilient community and valuing the care of people and land through make-culture: informal skill shares presented by StellaLou Farm LLC members, formal workshops presented by a maker from the community, and large community events.
